1991 Life Grand Prix of Andorra
The 1991 Life Grand Prix of Andorra was held at Circuito del Jarama on April 28, 1991. Gio van Dycke won the race from pole position. Cave Armstrong and Dimitry Vitkin crashed, resulting in leg injuries for Armstrong. That put him out for three races. Vitkin was banned for six races as he was found to have caused the incident. Richard Arthurs crashed heavily and was badly injured, causing him to miss 9 races. He was replaced initially by Joachim Dumm for the French GP, which also ended badly. Richard Richardson fractured his rib in a crash, and was out for a month. Charles Jericho was concussed in an accident.
